Gain Ville Students Spread Holiday Cheer to Local Children’s Hospital

Gain Ville students in Grades 1 through 6 created Holiday Greetings for patients at The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at the University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. These cards were designed and personalized with holiday greetings in Italian, French and Spanish by language students at Gain Ville Learning Center, located in Rutherford, NJ.

As mentioned by one student, “We would like the patients at The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital to feel happy during the holiday season.”  Our program coordinator, Priti Gogoi, added, “Our students were very excited and enjoyed making these colorful greeting cards.  We hope that they will uplift the kids with their recovery during this holiday season.”  This initiative was led by Priti in close coordination with one of our Italian teachers, Paula T. who initially created a holiday card prototype with her students – a model that was then replicated by other Italian, French and Spanish language teachers.

Gain Ville language teachers worked together to make this activity an enriching community service experience while providing Gain Ville Italian, Spanish and French students with the opportunity to practice their language skills.

Gain Ville would like everyone to enjoy a Happy Holiday and Good Health for the New Year, and is pleased to spread the joys of the season by providing the gift of a holiday greeting in a foreign language.
