Under the oversight of the Program Coordinator, the multicultural coach is responsible for the delivery of the cultural competence program to improve clients’ cultural knowledge base and promote global citizenship.  The multicultural coach is also involved in enriching the content of the cultural competence program, enhancing its effectiveness as well as implementing educational objectives consistent with the vision and mission at Gain Ville. 

Major Job Functions:
  • Participate in the design and development of cultural competence programs    including the use
  • Evaluate the needs and requirements for program development. Consult    with subject matter experts and management to determine instructional    scope and content. Refer to moreexperienced department personnel as needed for guidance on new or complex issues.
  • Conduct cultural competence programs using a variety of teaching aids.
  • Test students to measure learning progress and to evaluate effectiveness of instructional materials and courses.
  • Act as educational consultant to analyze situations and recommend best solutions for media, delivery modes, settings and instructional techniques for the multicultural content, customersand organization.
  • Establish performance objectives and select appropriate performance measures for each
    instructional objective.
  • Consult with clients on design and development of cultural competence learning interventions.
  • Apply advanced skills in area of specialization to solve complex problems in creative and
    effective ways. Duties and tasks are varied and complex.

Required Education/Skills:

Require a Bachelor’s degree in a human related field, education or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

Typically requires a minimum of 3 years related experience.


Specific Requirements:

  • Provides administrative support to the cultural competence learning and    development function.

May perform one or more of the following duties:

  • Assemble and distributes course materials and teaching aids.

  • Operate audio visual equipment during educational programs.
  • Prepare periodic, standardized reports and analysis of development and educational needs.
  • Review and proofread educational materials for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Work with vendors and other third party sources to coordinate cultural competence educational offerings.

Multicultural Youth Coordinator Back to Top


Under the oversight of the Managing Director, the multicultural youth coordinator will work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator to deliver services to youth participating in Gainville programs.  Contribute to the vision and mission of Gain Ville and coordinate services with other multicultural coaches to develop, pilot, and implement new ways of working with youth.

Major Job Functions:

  • Provide instructional programs to youth participants through encouraging curiosity, questioning and exploration to inform and educate them about cultural competence and global citizenship.
  • Enhance youth sense of personal achievement in learning by respecting their individual interests, backgrounds, and abilities. 
  • Mentor and communicate with youth to promote life-long learning through enhancing their cultural knowledge and global citizenship.
  • Collaborate with the multicultural team to develop, pilot and implement new ways of working with youth to support the mission and implement the vision of Gain Ville.
  • Assist in developing strategies and conduct field trip excursions to help youth explore the United Nations as an organization that enhances global citizenship.
  • Coordinate special events with other multicultural team members to increase participation of youth in Center’s programs and services.
  • Collect and document information about youth interests and needs to guide program development.
  • Deliver public presentations at the Center to communicate programs goals and Center’s mission.
  • Performs all other work-related duties as required by Managing Director.



Required Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of and personal interest in cultural issues
  • Strong interest in working with diverse youth
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

Foreign Language Instructor Back to Top


Under the oversight of the Director, the Foreign Language Instructor is responsible for teaching Arabic to children, youth, and adults at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced Arabic language levels.  The applicant needs to have expert-level language abilities (i.e. native speaking ability) in Modern Standard Arabic in both oral and written forms, and expert-level abilities in at least one regional dialect.  The Foreign Language Instructor needs to possess the ability, understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds of children, youth, and adults enrolled at the Center.


Major Job Functions:

  • Participate in the design, development, and subsequent establishment of the Arabic language curriculum at the Center.
  • Supervise and coordinate the use of computer-based Arabic language instruction and multimedia teaching aids.
  • Develop an exemplary Arabic language instructional program for children, youth, and adults while considering their special talents, individual style, and space of learning.
  • Conduct regular formative and summative evaluation to assess students’ learning.
  • Conduct a variety of programs to help guide individual and group learning needs while integrating the use of Arabic language as a vehicle to promote cultural understanding and tolerance.
  • Participate in the establishment of an ‘open door policy’, which includes class visits and classroom observations.
  • Positively contribute to consultation on key Teaching Units and institutional issues.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • Assist with public relations events sponsored by Gain Contact.
  • Apply advanced skills in area of specialization to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.

Required Education/Skills:

Candidate must have:  a Master’s in the language being taught or Bachelor’s degree in the language being taught.  The applicant must demonstrate experience as an instructor of the Arabic language including 1+ years experience instructing adults, excellent ratings as an instructor, knowledge of the Arabic culture and information regarding various relevant geographic and ethnic origins, religions, social status, and occupations; a clean criminal background; ability to respond quickly to children’s needs and emergency situations, proficiency in Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel; ability to communicate in cross cultural situations; and must possess good oral and written communication skills. 

Required Experience:

Typically requires a minimum of one to two years of related experience.

May perform one or more of the following duties:

Child Development Specialist Back to Top


Under the oversight of the Program Coordinator, the Child Development Specialist is responsible for providing direct supervision and quality care for a group of 2-5 year-old children through a caring, positive, and authoritative relationship.  The Child Developmental Specialist must assist in planning and implementing scheduled periods of activities and age appropriate multicultural educational programs which are developmentally appropriate while ensuring the safety and well being of the children.


Major Job Functions:

  • Participate in the design and development of children’s lounge program which includes the use of computer-based instruction, and multimedia teaching aids.
  • Implement the multicultural educational program for children while considering their special
  • talents, individual style, and space of learning
  • Conduct children’s work/play and help guide children in learning basic social skills to promote positive self-esteem.
  • Assume housekeeping responsibilities in the children’s lounge to ensure health and sanitation guidelines are met.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and other meetings as needed.

Required Education/Skills:

Candidate must have:  Associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education or related field; a clean criminal background; Ability to respond quickly to children’s needs and emergency situations; ability to lift/manipulate up to 40lbs; ability to frequently stoop, squat, bend, and easily get up/down to the floor; ability to speak a second language, such as Arabic, or French; proficiency in Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel; ability to communicate in cross cultural situations; and must pose good oral and written communication skills. 

Required Experience:

Typically requires a minimum of one to two years of related experience.

Specific Requirements:

Candidate must have current First Aid/CPR certification, TB test results, two doses of measles vaccine, current tetanus immunization, and Hepatitis B immunization.

Gain Contact Group is seeking a smart, experienced and passionate Educational Counselor who wants to work with international students applying for or attending colleges in the US.  Under the oversight of the Managing Director, the educational counselor is responsible for providing holistic & proactive services which contribute to each student’s educational, vocational, & personal/social development.  The educational counselor ensures that students will demonstrate knowledge and academic skills necessary for success in college and career; habits and skills associated with academic excellence; innovation, creative expression, problem solving and entrepreneurship; mastery of leadership, artistic and technological skills.


 Major Job Functions:

  • Evaluate students’ abilities, interests, talents, and personality characteristics to develop appropriate academic and career goals.
  • Assist students in navigating the college search and application process
  • Track college applications and acceptances, and coordinate data for school use
  • Facilitate college admission workshops for students and parents
  • Track student credits and progress toward graduation
  • Provide individual and group guidance services relative to problems of scholastic, educational, and personal-social nature to students.
  • Suggest remedial or corrective actions and assist students in making better adjustments and in planning intelligent life goals.
  • Plan and direct programs to orient students and assist in their integration into scholastic life.
  • Investigate reports of misconduct and attempt to resolve or eliminate causes of conflict.
  • May interview students with personal/academic difficulties to determine need for counseling.

Lounge Service Operator Back to Top


Under the oversight of the Director, the Lounge Service Operator is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, preparation, and the serving of all foods at the Center. The candidate is in charge of monitoring and enforcing health and sanitation standards as set by county health departments and State and Federal regulations and/or policies. The Lounge Service Operator supervises lounge food service, culinary facilities, and serving areas to insure proper and adequate quality of food is prepared and served. 

Major Job Functions:

  • Monitors food preparation methods, portion sizes, and maintains garnishing and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an adequate manner.
  • Prepares and serves drinks such as brewed coffee, gourmet coffees, teas and juices.
  • Greets guests, make them feel comfortable, and presents them with menus.
  • Monitors compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving.
  • Assumes housekeeping responsibilities in the Coffee Lounge to ensure health and sanitation guidelines are met.
  • Reviews menus and analyzes recipes in order to determine labor and overhead costs, and assigns prices to menu items.
  • Ensures equipments, supplies, and work areas are maintained and sanitized in compliance with health standards. 
  • Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
  • Estimates food and beverage consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased, schedules and receives food and beverage deliveries, and checks delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantity.
  • Records the number, type, and cost of items sold in order to determine which items may be unpopular or less profitable.
  • Requisitions, stores, and distributes food supplies, equipment, and utensils.
  • Schedules use of facility or catering service for events such as workshops, training, or receptions, and negotiates details of arrangements with clients.
  • Establishes standards for personnel performance and customer service.
  • Reviews work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.
  • Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
  • Monitors financial transactions in the Coffee Lounge in order to ensure proper exchange of money for food service.
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • Assists with public relations events sponsored by the Center.
  • Applies advanced skills in area of specialization to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.

Required Education/Skills:

Candidate must have an Associate degree or certificate in culinary studies or related field.
