TOEFL Prep

The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a test created for students seeking admission to colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. It is designed to demonstrate English proficiency for academic purpose and it is recognized by academic institutions. The TOEFL tests the student’s ability to communicate and measures how well he/she can read, listen, speak and write in English and use these skills together in the university classroom.

Our TOEFL Preparation program at GainLearning Center provides instruction and exercises in the four areas that are tested:  Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing, as well as key strategies for success on the test. Students will be exposed to a variety of lectures and be tested on what the lectures were about.  They will also read diverse papers and reports and choose the correct answers to questions concerning the papers read.  Speaking and writing will be a major part of this course preparation. Practice tests with essays will be given each week and reviewed extensively by the instructor for further evaluation of the student’s overall academic progress.
